C&D South West are celebrating the news that it has been nominated in not just one, but four categories in this year’s South West Business and Community Awards.
The four Award categories include The Business of The Year Award, The COVID Community Champion, The Outstanding Contribution to The Community Award and the highly coveted Employer of The Year Award. Reacting to this incredible achievement Lorna Hammond, C&D’s Managing Director said,
“We’re delighted to be nominated for the 2021 South West Business Awards, especially in a category that recognises the hard work and commitment that we’ve made as a company throughout the pandemic.
“The whole country has had its challenges over recent months and none more so than those charged with keeping the country moving during the lockdown period. The transport industry forms the backbone of the country and whilst the wonderful NHS workers kept our population safe, we like to think that we played our part in keeping those that relied on us fed and watered throughout.
“We’re particularly proud of the way that our team stepped up to the challenges imposed on us by Covid-19 and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone who’s worked so hard to get us where we are today.
“As a major employer and supporter of the South West region we’re delighted to be recognised in this way. The whole team are incredibly excited about the prospect of sweeping the board at the ceremony – we’ll be watching the event with bated breath.”
The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of businesses, charities and inspirational individuals throughout the region whilst simultaneously raining much needed funds for charities in the South West of England. Due to the pandemic, this year’s South West Business & Community Awards will take the form of a virtual online ceremony to be held on Wednesday 31st March 2021, starting at 7:00 p.m. sharp, when the winners will be announced.
Tickets are available from the organiser’s website at a cost of £20 each plus VAT. Prior to the ceremony, guests will be sent a celebration box with drink, treats, a signed copy of a high-profile entrepreneur’s recent book, signed certificate and much more. It promises to be an evening of celebration with a ‘live’ band, entertainment and attended by a very inspirational keynote speaker.
