C & D South West – COVID-19 Company Statement
Dear Valued Customers and Suppliers,
Further to previous communications published over the past week, I wanted to send you a further update regarding the developing situation of COVID-19 that we are all being faced with.
It is undoubtedly going to be a tough time for everybody over the coming months, however all of the team here at C & D South West are doing all we can to remain positive and our priorities are as follows:
-Protect the health and wellbeing our staff and yours to take all necessary actions that help reduce the spread of the virus
-To keep any business disruption to our business and your business to an absolute minimum during this difficult period
-Continue to deliver loads of quality for our clients
As a company, we are actively addressing the threat of the virus by taking the following measures:
-As per the latest government advice, employees have been advised to work from home (where possible) until further notice. Our systems and logistics teams have prepared for this situation, and full service will continue without interruption
-Drivers have been instructed to stop any Handheld device & Paperwork signing from the consignee and the driver will sign on their behalf after obtaining a name to reduce contamination where possible
-Limiting any unnecessary face to face meetings and where possible conduct business via telephone or email
-We have shared best practice health tips with our office and driving team and continue to keep them updated on a daily basis, and put additional cleaning measures and equipment in place to ensure all government recommendations are followed in every aspect of our operation.
If you have made any imminent changes to your operations that we should be aware of if we are handling your goods, or coming to your site to make collections and or deliveries, please contact us in the first instance.
I would also ask that if you have not already done so, to ask your staff to keep the recommended distance from our drivers when making delivery or collections to your premises.
Our aim is to support the nation by delivering loads of quality for as long as we can and we will still be collecting and delivering freight for as long as possible in line with all government guidelines.
Assuring you of our best intentions in these difficult times for not only the county but also the nation and globe as a whole.
We wish you all good health and thank you for continuing to place your trust in us. Please just give us a call on 01460 64701 or email to [email protected] with any further questions you may have over the coming weeks and months.
Kind Regards,
Lorna Hammond
Managing Director
